It starts with one can. To feed the hungry. To lift the spirit. To change the world. Canstruction, a charity committed to ending hunger, is using ‘one can’ as a catalyst for change. Approximately 89,000 pounds of food have been collected and donated to Second Harvest North Florida over the last eight years.
Canstruction-Jacksonville‘s 9th Annual Design/Build Competition puts a visual spotlight on hunger while showcasing the Jacksonville design community’s best and brightest.

When: March 1-15, 2010
Where: Jacksonville Main Public Library - Downtown
What: Design and build structures made entirely from canned foods within a 8'w x 8'd x 6' h space.
Schedule:
March 1 - Construction of Canstruction (8 a.m.– 3 p.m.)
March 1 - Open to Public (till March 15)
March 15 - Decanstruction
