Homes by Deltona will host a food drive to benefit the hungry men, women and children served by Second Harvest North Florida on March 16, 2013. Jacksonville Beach, FL – The 2012 Florida Surfing Championships is encouraging event goers to help hungry people in north Florida by bringing nonperishable food – cans and boxes especially – to donate at the event. The big blue Second Harvest North Florida truck will be parked near the main event entrance next to Freebird Live to collect donated food from 3-5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6, at Jacksonville Beach.
Second Harvest North Florida is teaming with the Jacksonville Suns and Second Harvest North Florida for the Winn-Dixie Food Drive on Saturday, Aug. 11 at The Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville.
During the game against the Mobile BayBears, fans can bring canned goods and nonperishable food items to the game in support of Second Harvest. All fans making a donation receive a free Suns oven mitt!
