Tonight is Second Harvest night at Sea Best Field. Cheer on the Jacksonville Sharks as they take on the Iowa Barnstormers and support Second Harvest by making a non-perishable food donation before the game. Second Harvest staff and volunteers will be holding a food drive out front, so bring food to donate and look for the bog blue truck. 

Join General Mills, Feeding America, Sam's Club and Second Harvest North Florida to Outnumber Hunger. 

Homes by Deltona will host a food drive to benefit the hungry men, women and children served by Second Harvest North Florida on March 16, 2013. The family-friendly event will place at the San Savino community located in St Augustine Shores, where 16 new homes are currently under construction. There will be live music, a 105.5 FM-WYRE live radio remote, prizes and snacks and model home tours. Bring your kids out for a fun Saturday!

Jacksonville Beach, FL – The 2012 Florida Surfing Championships is encouraging event goers to help hungry people in north Florida by bringing nonperishable food – cans and boxes especially – to donate at the event. The big blue Second Harvest North Florida truck will be parked near the main event entrance next to Freebird Live to collect donated food from 3-5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6, at Jacksonville Beach.

During the game against the Mobile BayBears, fans can bring canned goods and nonperishable food items to the game in support of Second Harvest. All fans making a donation receive a free Suns oven mitt!

Tickets are on sale through the Suns box office at 904.358.2846 or online at www.jaxsuns.com. Tickets are $7.50 for general admission, $10.50 for reserved seating and $13.50 for home plate box seating. The Suns are the Double-A Affiliate of the Florida Marlins and a member of the Southern League of Professional Baseball.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville community rose to the occasion during the National Association of Letter Carriers “Stamp Out Hunger” Food Drive on Saturday, May 12 – donating nearly 258,000 pounds of much-needed nonperishable food resources for people in need on the First Coast.
